RastafariOnline.Net non-profit ISP now offers high speed DSL Internet service in USA and Canada.
Rastafari Online (ROL) has announced that the non-profit ISP RastafariOnline.Net
now offers high speed DSL Internet service in USA and Canada. According to the
administrative update, prefaced by an excerpt from Psalm 33 of the Holy Bible,
issued on March 6, 2007, "a little less than three years after the launch
of the 56K dial-up services, this much awaited upgrade went live on March 1,
the anniversary of the Adowa victory, give thanks Jan Hoi!"
The Rastafari Online .Net DSL services will scale from $20/month for home users
to $140/month for business users. Speeds available will vary from 256 Kbps to
10 Mbps based upon the individual phone lines. The ROL DSL service currently
runs on AT&T, Verizon and Qwest local lines. It was learned that expansion
onto the Covad, Bell South and Bell Canada networks has also been planned.

page The ROL administrators further announced that their 56K
dialup network has grown to over 30,000 local numbers.
The ROL ISP yields all profits to the ROL working committee. The announcement
further said, "it has become necessary now for [the ROL community] to evolve
into an official entity capable of holding its' own bank account." It was
learned that a number of open committee meetings will be upcoming to chart the
future course of the ROL community.
